The IB Day Iraq hosted by International Maarif Schools in Erbil marked a historic moment in the country’s educational journey.The day began with a vibrant celebration of culture and community, featuring traditional dances, musical performances, and student showcases that reflected both local pride and global-mindedness. Parents, teachers, and students came together in a joyful atmosphere that highlighted the values of unity and lifelong learning. A special thank you to the Ministry of Education for their presence and support. Your engagement is a powerful signal of the commitment to advancing education in Iraq.  We also extend our deepest appreciation to our keynote speaker, Dr. Kawther Saa'd Al-Din, Development & Recognition Manager at the International Baccalaureate, for her inspiring words and continues support in making this day possible. 

Our students and teachers proudly took part in the 12th International Marathon, completing the 12 km run with great energy. The event brought together runners from around the world, celebrating fitness, endurance, and community spirit. Running side by side, our participants demonstrated teamwork, determination, and school pride throughout the race. It was an inspiring experience that reminded everyone of the value of perseverance and a healthy, active lifestyle.

MANOUCHE A LA TURCA an evening with Bilal Karaman — honored to host a concert organized by Turkish Consulate and attended by distinguished guests at our school.

Our students recently had the honor of meeting with Governor Mr. Omed Khosnaw, engaging in meaningful dialogue about local government and civic responsibility. During this inspiring visit, students shared their ideas, asked thoughtful questions, and gained a deeper understanding of leadership and public service. We are deeply grateful to Mr. Omed Khosnaw for his warm welcome and support of youth engagement in governance.

Our school had the honor of hosting an official visit by Birol Ekici, Governor of Şırnak, and Mehmet Yarka, Mayor of Şırnak. The visit was part of their program in Erbil, and they toured our campus facilities accompanied by the school administration. This occasion provided an opportunity to showcase our educational environment and infrastructure. We sincerely thank Governor Birol Ekici and Mayor Mehmet Yarka for their kind visit to our school.

In PYP art class, our young learners embraced their creativity through a fun and engaging hands-on painting session! Using their hands, cotton buds, and plenty of imagination, the children experimented with colors, patterns, and new techniques. This playful exploration not only sparked artistic expression but also supported fine motor skills and sensory development.
